Yours truly, Sharon |
:D
Finally back to blogging!
I
just realized that it's been 5 months since my latest blog post o_o I apologize
for my inactivity. Schoolworks and laziness were the two main reason for my
inactivity.
Enough
chit-chat, this time around, I'm reviewing a lip product (again :D) from a famous
Korean makeup brand called Etude House. The product name is Dear Darling Tint
and it's the second shade which is 'Real Red'. I actually got this as a
giveaway gift from http://wanderlustbase.blogspot.com/ (do
check out her blog! She's very diligent in blogging and her blogs are updated
regularly) but I believe the price is less than $10 so the product is very
affordable.
Dear
Darling Tint is available in two series, the original series consist of four
shades in total.
The
four shades are:
1.
Berry Red
2.
Real Red
3.
Orange Red
4.
Vampire Red

The
second series is the dear darling neon tints which are available in three
colors. I think the colors are very cute!
Onto
the packaging! Dear Darling Tint is packaged in a slender glass tube with
glossy plastic cap. The fact that the tint is inside a glass tube and glossy
cap makes the product looks exclusive and special <3. The applicator is a
brush and the handle is slilghtly bent so that it's easy to apply *v* <3
Here is the swatch! The texture of the
tint is watery, unlike my etude house kissful tint which has a watercolor
texture when squeezed from the tube. I can say that the color is very similar
to blood red, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE this kind of red because if it's any darker
than this (burgundy) it will make you look vampire-ish creepy and if it's any
lighter than this I'd say that I won't consider it as red, so I think the shade
is a PERFECT red<3
By the way, have I mentioned that this tint tastes like strawberry syrup? Since it's very sweet I keep licking the tint when I'm wearing it. LOL
how it looks like on my lips :D used as gradation lips. |
after I add pink lipstick to my lower lips |
As you can see, the tint looks very dry on my lips. The fact that
my lips are always dry makes it even worse because the tint makes my lip
lines(cracks) more visible QwQ. The moment I use the tint, the tint immediately
sink to my lip lines, which is horrible. This makes it hard to blend because
they tend to look darker in places where my lip lines are </3 *sobs* the
misery of having dry lips ;;. However, the color payoff is quite good and it
produces a beautiful gradation lips <3 definitely a must-have tool for those
who likes to create gradation lips.
>>
Tip: I heard that if your lips are dry, you should exfoliate your lips more or
use lip masks in order to moisturize them and don't forget to apply lip balm
below your lip products. However, drinking water often is one of the best
solution to keep your lip moist and thus, prevent your lips from drying and
cracking. <<
(I
really should take care of my lips more ;o;;)
Pros:
- Tastes nice !
- Affordable
- Nice colour
Cons:
- Accentuate lip cracks
- Kinda hard to blend
Will I repurchase? depends :s I think I will try to find another red tint that is more moisturizing than this one.
See you later on my next blog post (hopefully it will be published before New Year lolol)
Lovely shades ^^
